Setup

How to install

Takes about a minute. Requires Android 7.0 or newer.

Download the APK above (or transfer PokeChamps.apk to your phone via USB, email or cloud).
Tap the file in your browser's Downloads or a file manager.
Allow installs from this source when prompted (Settings → “Install unknown apps” → enable for your browser/file manager). This is Android's standard sideload prompt.
Tap Install. If Play Protect shows a notice, choose “More details → Install anyway” — it appears simply because the app isn't distributed through the Play Store.
Open PokeChamps and sign in, or continue as guest.

Why the warnings? They're inherent to installing any app outside the Google Play Store and don't indicate a problem with this app. Nothing can remove them except distributing through Play.

Who we are

PokeChamps (“the app”) is an independent, free tool. This policy explains what data the app handles.

What we collect

If you create an account (Google or Email): your email address, display name (if provided) and a Firebase user ID, plus any teams you choose to save. This is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore) so your teams can sync across your devices.
If you continue as a guest: no account data or teams are sent to any server — everything stays on your device only.
The app does not collect contacts, location, photos, messages, or advertising identifiers, and contains no third-party ads.

How your data is used

Solely to sign you in and to save/sync the teams you create. It is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
Authentication and storage are provided by Google Firebase, subject to Google's privacy policy.

Images & game data

Pokémon sprites/images are loaded on demand from third-party sources for identification only; the app doesn't upload anything about you to those sources beyond a standard image request.

Deleting your data

You can sign out at any time from Tools → Account. To delete your account and all associated saved teams, contact us at the email below and we'll remove them. Guest data can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.

Children

The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
